Outrageous Hats!

Use of birds in the millinery trade for ladies around 1900Walk back through time with fashion historian Bonnie Hansen of Vintage Nouveau, Fashions from the Past, as she presents her program featuring Outrageous Hats!

Look back at the fanciful and sometimes frightful hats favored by ladies around 1900.  Learn about the formation of the American Audubon Society and its efforts to save birds from the millinery trade.

Rare and beautiful antique hats will be displayed, and fashion trends discussed through period photos.

Don’t forget to wear your own favorite hat to this event.
